This is the poem that Jeremy wrote for the baby. :) We also used it to tell our family about the exciting news!!

Gifts of the Seasons

Summer days and summer nights,
filled with joy and God’s bright light.
Moments shared by those in love,
create blessings sent by the Lord above.
Who could want for anything more
than laughter shared with those we adore?

Summer fades and fall draws near,
onto the ground the leaves appear.
A time to reflect on the dreams that we share,
and to give thanks for those of whom we care.
The season of fall will usher in the cold,
while enabling us to see the bare beauty unfold.

Winter brings us such joyous revelations,
the birth of our Savior and New Years celebrations!
Time spent with family and friends by the hearth,
creates a love that is deepened throughout the earth.
As winter comes and goes, it reminds us all,
those whom we adore start out so small.

Nine months from now, spring blooms will appear.
As will the precious gift we will hold so dear.
For spring brings new life in more ways than one,
In addition to the flowers, a daughter or a son?
To have a child in pink or in blue,
Either one will be a dream come true!
Let us thank God for the girl or the boy,
As well as for the seasons that bring us such joy.
