Unto the Lord

Yesterday, I was running around the house like a chicken with my head cut off trying to clean the house while Hadley was at school.  I knew I only had a certain amount of time, and I was beginning to stress out.  Stressing out because I knew that not only should I be cleaning the house & trying to get dinner ready, but I also needed to be working on ACCESS and papers and projects for my 2 classes that I'm taking.  Then, it hit me like a ton of bricks...I should be doing ALL of this with Joy in my heart...Unto the Lord!!!  We are on earth to bring glory and honor to His name, and in everything we do, we should do it unto him.

1 Corinthians 10:31  Therefore, whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

In that moment, as I was vacuuming like a wild woman, it's like the Lord brought this verse to my mind, and I had peace.  I'm not doing any of these things for myself or for others; I'm doing it unto the Lord.  Relief!!!
