So I won't forget...

Hadley has been talking a lot lately.  I hear about and read about how lots of other kids her age are much more advanced in their speech, but I just have to remind myself that every child is different.  It doesn't make one more intelligent than the other.  Every parent thinks that THEIR child is the smartest & the brightest, and this mommy is no exception.  I'm so proud of Hadley, and it makes me so excited to watch her learning and putting things together.

For a long time, I've been able to tell Hadley, "Hadley go get (insert object here)."  Well, the other day I said, "Hadley, go get your pink jacket so we can go play outside."  She comes running back to me (with the correct pink jacket), and says, "I find it!!"  She seemed to be so proud of herself.  I wish I could have captured the look on her face.

Then, this past Saturday Hadley & I took a little trip to Lowes in Wetumpka.  I'm looking for some curtain rods and a few other things.  I really was just checking prices and wasting time with Hadley until Jeremy got home from school.  So, Hadley is in the buggy, and I'm pushing her along, and all of a sudden Hadley starts yelling, "SANTA, SANTA, SANTA."  I look over and there is an older man with a long white beard, which I must say did look a lot like Santa.  I guess this might be the beginning of embarrassing words that come from my child. :)  Then, on the way home, we saw a man walking down our street, and Hadley looks out the window and says, "See ya later!"  Where did she get that from?  I guess maybe Jeremy & I say it a lot.  I just thought it was cute...random & cute.

Anyway, this is probably a pretty boring post for anyone who isn't family, but since this is like a scrapbook for me I wanted to make sure I had it recorded!

Bonnie, don't ever think that posting some random things about Hadley or even your sweet family means so little to the people that read your blog. I read your blog to be a little part of your family! I have grown to love you since you had Hadley and I love to read and hear about your daily lives....it makes me feel like family! Love you, ~~emily

She is so cute and seems so grown up! AM did something similar to a man a few weeks ago. We were at Verizon and all of a sudden she kept saying "Ho! Ho!" then I realized she was talking about a man resembling Santa (she doesn't know that name) You're right...here we go with "from the mouths of babes" :)
