Well, I have become a bad blogger. To be honest, I just don't feel like I've had a lot of excitement to write about. I guess I could do one of those "all in a day" posts, where I tell you the random things we do & then post pictures. Honestly, I just haven't had the energy. Hadley was out of Mothers Morning Out for over 2 weeks!! I never realized how much I depend on her going to school twice a week. It's so hard for me to teach & get my ACCESS done and take care of all of my other responsibilities with her around. I think both Hadley & I need the break that MMO gives to both of us!!
I took Hadley for her 18 month check up today! It was a late appointment (meaning she's almost 19 months old). When Hadley was 4 months old, I had to change her doctor's appointment to later in the month because of a family wedding. I didn't realize that this would throw off our appointments...forever!! She can't get shots earlier than the date that she did at her last appointment (does that make sense??). I'm not sure if this is due to insurance or because they have to wait a certain period of time for the vaccine. Maybe one of my nurse friends can tell me?? :)
Well, here are her stats:
Height--34.5 inches (top 5%)
Weight--27.4 lbs (85%)
Head--(the paper is in my car, and I don't want to get it right now, so I'll come fill this part in later)
Hadley is super heavy these days!! I have a question. Her car seat is still in the center seat of my car. I have a VERY small car (VW Jetta), so I have to pick her up & lean in to put her in her seat. This kills my back!! Mommy friends...do you think it would be okay for me to move her to a window seat? At what age can you do this?
Okay, I'm going to do a short list of what Hadley is up to:
--still going to bed around 7:00 every night.
--sleeps until 7:00 (I'm dreading the time change because I know this will be 6:00 soon!)
--we still take a bath every night before bed time.
--wearing size 4 diapers & will tee-tee on the potty every now & then.
--wearing size 24m & 2t clothes
--picky eater! You'll eat crackers all day long if I let you. But, I'm determined to teach you healthy eating!
--your favorite fruit-- grapes & strawberries. Occasionally, you'll eat bananas, too. You also like apple slices

--you like green beans & broccoli
--cheese is your favorite!
--you'll eat most meats (but not much of it)
--you'll eat most meats (but not much of it)
--you love any kind of pasta (just like your mommy!)
--you love to dip your food! (in ketchup, honey mustard, etc).
--climbing is your favorite. You are not safe anywhere!! You can climb on our gigantic king size bed & into our big bathtub in the master bath.
--you're starting to learn to open doors
--playing outside is a favorite
--babies & anything to do with babies is your obsession. You'll rock and "Shhhh" your baby and put your baby to "nigh nigh" (night night).
--Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is your favorite show, and you'll actually ask to watch it in the morning now.
--paper...you LOVE paper and pens and sharpies and my address stamp (which you've stamped all over the carpet in the office)
--If we ask you: "Who made you?" You say, "GOD!" "What else did God make?" You say, "All things!"
--We say, "Hadley, do you know how much we love you?" You say "Dis much." (We always tell her we love her "this much" and open our arms as wide as we can).
I'm sure I could go on and on with this list, but I'm going to stop now (while there is still a little of nap time left!).
(I think this picture is funny! Hadley is having the time of her life and Daddy looks like he's thinking "Oh please don't fall & hurt yourself!)

Hi! I've been missing your blog posts, but I know how hectic it gets with a toddler! Yes--she has to wait a certain period of time in between vaccinations. Has she gotten her flu shot yet this year? I would advise getting it. Second, I have Sydney's seat in the middle just because I can reach her more easily since I'm short. I sit down in my back seat (Jeep Grand Cherokee) and put her in, but yes, she is sooo heavy! I don't think it matters to have her near the window. I used to have Sydney near the window and just think....what do your friends with two small children do?? :)
We have always had Savannah next to the window. It may be a lot of work but maybe you could temporarily move her seat next to the window and see how she likes it? Just a suggestion. :)
I have always had mine by the window. But I have an SUV with side curtain airbags (that are there for the very purpose of protection...). If your car has side air bags it might be even safer to put her on a window seat.
I've missed your posts! Glad for the update! :)
AM is next to the window too, but like Lyndsey said, I have an SUV too so I don't know if that matters but I bet it's perfectly fine to move her. On another note, she is just beautiful. I can't believe how much she seems to be talking. She and AM seem to be very similar (other than the talking)...same size (Hadley is an inch taller, same weight), eat the same things, LOVE babies...
