Why??

The blog is private now. I've had SO many e-mails asking if everything is okay. Yes! :) We are all fine!! I decided to make the blog private for a few reasons. I have a little blog tracker at the bottom of my blog. Some of you may have noticed it. One day, I realized that there were people coming on & off my blog from random places....places where I don't know anyone. This started to bother me several months ago. Y'all remember this post? Well, I kept thinking about it for months. I realized that I blog when I go out of town, where we're going, etc. I'm not sure I want people that I don't know reading that kind of information. Yes, I realize each one of you think I'm paranoid now. Okay, fine...I'm paranoid, but CRAZY stuff happens?! Do y'all ever watch Dateline NBC??!

Also, when I decided to start blogging a couple of years ago, I was an idiot and used my last name as part of my web address. So, people know our first and last names...AND they know where we might be traveling...where we live! I've talked about where Hadley goes to school and all kinds of stuff on here.

So, here I am...the paranoid, over-protective, wife, and mother!! I want this blog to be a journal of my life...of Jeremy's life...and Hadley's life. I want to be able to write down anything I want and not have to censor myself. And, I want your comments & feedback!! Sometimes it's hard being a mommy, and I WELCOME any advice & suggestions y'all can give!

Sweet Friends and Family...WELCOME to our family blog!!!

I think you are paranoid just the right amount! It is difficult to blog about your life, and have it out there for everyone to read. I made a point to give my kids -- and any other child I write about -- a nickname. I try to write about our travels after we travel. I love reading about Hadley, especially since she is now older than the group I keep on Sun & Wed!

I understand completely! Everything you addressed is the same reason mine is private....especially the not having to censor myself part. My blog is sometimes cathartic for me in that way. I think I made mine un-google-able too?
