you gotta put one foot in front of the other!

Yesterday, March 26, 2010...exactly 7 days before her first birthday...Hadley took her FIRST steps!! I was so excited that I was there to witness it. Unfortunately, I was the only one home at the time, but Jeremy got to see later on. :) She's been really stable & balanced for a long time, and I honestly think she could have walked earlier...but with all of her ear issues & everything I think it's taken her longer. Yeah, yeah, I know what all of you out there are thinking. Most babies don't walk until after they turn one! BUT...you don't know My Hadley! She was crawling at 6 1/2 months & pulling up at 8 months. I seriously think that all of the fluid on her ears made her dizzy & her balance was off. Anyway, I guess we'll never really know one way or the other, and that is just fine with me! :)

Sounds like the birthday girl is feeling great now!! YAY Hadley for taking your first steps!! I cannot believe your baby is almost one. I remember reading your blog before she was born and showing Mom her sweet nursery pictures...and now she's walking!!!

yippee! i have no doubt those ears getting cleared up had a huge impact on that! i'm sure it did! so thankful that hospital stay is over and things are on the mend! been praying for your sweet family! love your blog...and my goodness her eyes are just beautiful! :)
