27 Weeks

Alrighty!  Here we are at 27 weeks!  I gained 80 pounds while I was pregnant with Hadley, so I'm pretty excited that I have kept the weight DOWN this time!!  I've been working out as much as possible, and I can really tell that it helps my mood and energy level.  Lots of people comment and ask me if I feel like being pregnant this time around is harder since I have a 2 year old in tow, but honestly, I feel like it has been easier.  While I was pregnant with Hadley, I was stuck in a cubicle for 8 hours a day.  I had horrible back pains, and I even got to the point where I had to bring a heating pad to work every day.  I realize that I still have 13 weeks left, so I may be changing my tune!  The Lord has truly blessed me during this pregnancy.

We have a name!!  John Thomas Cobb.  We'll call him John Thomas.  John is a biblical name for us.  He was the loyal disciple whom Jesus loved.  Thomas is after my precious daddy.  We wanted to honor my family this time around (Hadley's middle name is Marie after Jeremy's Mom).

I'm still trying to pick out nursery bedding.  I have a couple of things in mind.  I'm really happy that Hadley's nursery has been able to transition into a big girl room without too much expense, and I'd like to do the same with John Thomas' room.  So, I'm trying to keep that in mind and steer away from the toile that I love so much! :)

Hadley is doing great!  She's been pretty much 100% potty trained since her 3 day boot camp.  I'm pretty sure I can count on one hand & maybe a couple of fingers how many times she's had an accident.  I'm really proud of her.  Her speech has continued to take off!  She can count to 15 & say all of her ABCs.  She constantly walks around the house singing, and I think her favorite song is "Jesus Loves Me."  It melts my heart.  She L.O.V.E.S dress up and anything girly.  I bought Hadley her very first pair of jeans today, and she cried and begged me to take them off (we needed them to wear to church on Wednesday nights for Awana's).  Oh well.  I guess I'll be returning them and looking for something else.  They were cute too...with little ruffles.

Jeremy is doing great!  He did awesome during his summer semester at school, and he's already begun his fall semester.  I'm so proud of all the hard work & effort he's put into this.

We are planning our last family beach trip as a family of 3 in October.  We're going to Orange Beach & staying at Bella Luna.  Has anyone stayed here before??  Pros/Cons?  It has a heated indoor & outdoor pool, and I really liked that.

I hope everyone is doing well!  Hopefully it won't be ages before I blog again. :)

Oh my gosh! You look tiny in your belly pic! Way to go! I wish I could get going with exercising! I think it would so improve my mood. How did you start and how did you keep yourself accountable? I would love to know! So happy for y'all!

Kristina, you are precious! Thank you for your sweet comment!
I started working out in a "routine" after Hadley was 9 months old (before I was pregnant with her I'd work out every day after work...just head straight to the gym--much easier back then!). I've tried to continue it since the 9 month mark. Weight has always been a struggle for me. During the first 10 weeks of this pregnancy I'd quit working out...mainly because I felt so sick. Finally, I talked myself into getting back at it because I didn't want the same result as last time. My desire is also to have a VBAC, and I figure I have zero chance if I'm unhealthy. As far as accountability, every time I go to the gym I write it on my calendar. I like to see it for some reason & it helps me. If I think about going to the gym for too long, I can easily talk myself out of it. I just go without thinking. They have childwatch there too so it's great. As long as I have some good songs on my ipod then I'm good to go. :)

Thanks, Kristina!

I am really "rooting" for you to get your VBAC! I had a very close friend who did all her research and walked every day as her form of exercise through pregnancy and she was successful and had the birth she wanted. Her children are born on the same day exactly 2 years apart! You can put your mind to anything and make it happen! Lol! I am going to try and get out and walk this week. I figure I will start small and go from there :) Thanks for sharing!
