My incredible & thoughtful mother invited me here for a mother/daughter retreat getaway!! AND...I can't wait!! Since I never went to school in Auburn & I would only go on short visits to see friends, I want y'all to tell me the best shopping places...I want baby stores...stores for mom & me...stores for Jeremy...all the best stores!! What stores up there could you not live without? And, let's certainly not forget food. Everyone tell me what your favorite restaurant is up there! I'm getting so excited, and I feel like it can't come quickly enough! Comments please! :)
I'm really looking forward to this special time with my sweet mom. She'll be leaving to travel to Spain for over a month, and I'm not sure what I'll do without her. SO...we're having one last hooray before she goes! :)

Shopping: downtown {a lot of it is geared for college girls, but you'll like it anyway. Also, I'm pretty sure there is a precious baby boutique there too}
Food: My favorite restaurants are Amsterdam {really fun atmosphere and really good food!!},
Niffers {family fun atmosphere with an amazing grilled chicken rancher sandwich and delicious fried pickles}
Bizillas {delicious paninis}
Hamiltons {a lot like Amsterdam, but they used to have amazing lunch specials}
**now watch some of these not even be there because its been so long since I was there!

Fun & Fancy is a children's/gift shop. They have great gifts and some children's clothes. Also, Cutie Pie. It's very similar to Fun & Fancy.
Amsterdam and Niffers are good local restaurants. Hamiltons is good, but pricey and I think you have to have reservations. Downtown is a great area to shop.
I have no advice at all, but I just wanted to say I am so excited for you. Your momma is precious, and that will be so much fun! Hope you have a blast!!!
Definately Amsterdams - crab cake sandwich & Bizillas - Chicken & Bacon panini & they have red velvet cheesecake!! You have to go to TCBY too since we don't have one in the gump! YAY! They have some really cute shops in downtown Opelika too! Hope you enjoy your visit!!
Giggles and Coos its got cute stuff from what my friend says she lives in AU.
I agree with the restaurant recommendations! I miss Auburn restaurants!! There is also a really good Italian restaurant but I can't remember the name of it right now....I'll be thinking. I lost my memory once I got pregnant and still haven't recovered it. :) Call me when you want to get together!
